testimonial

"Danielle's Pulse and Presence workshops provide an exceptional synthesis of somatic based trauma resolution with music, movement, meditation, sound, etc. Her skillful and exquisite guidance helped me to drop into a profound sense of safety and support, to bring unconscious patterns into the light of awareness and acceptance, and to move through old patterns of flight and freeze into new experiences. Perhaps most astounding was how Danielle brought us into such an exquisite remembrance of Presence and Oneness that remains anchored in my body memory. I am deeply grateful for the remarkable healing and transformation that Danielle facilitates. I have fifty years of experience in the healing arts so am very selective of who I work with."

Hi! My name is Danielle

As a nervous system expert, mindfulness teacher & somatic trauma coach, I've dedicated my life to helping people all over the world, find true healing and purpose.

Using my SomaLumos Method TM, I empower people to use their bodies as their map and their triggers as their compass to find their way home to their most radiant selves.

I've had the honor of training with the pioneers in the somatic trauma therapy field as Peter Levine, Gabor Maté, Irene Lyon, Arielle Schwartz, AG Mohan, Pat Ogden, and more in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, Yoga Psychology, Somatic Experiencing, NLP, Trauma Informed Yoga, Dance Therapy and more.

I had a profound, and profoundly unexpected experience at Danielle Rubioas Somatics workshop last night. Better to try to describe the effects rather than the process. I suffered a severe brain trauma about four years ago, which left me physically debilitated and mentally incapacitated. I have progressed to the point where I am living independently and even had my driveras licensea"which had been suspended due to my seizure disordera"restored a year ago. I had become comfortable driving in the daytime but had still been experiencing fears while driving at night. Last night, after the workshop had ended, I for the first time felt comfortable driving in the dark. Not just comfort, but a deep feeling of relaxation and inner peace that I have never felt before... Last night I just sat in my living room in silence, with my candles lit, in a somewhat ecstatic state... Sitting there in the semi-darkness I felt a feeling of deep relief. I realized that my fears about my money problems would prove temporary... There is a direct connection between this change in my worrisome attitude toward problems, to what I learned about myself in Danielleas workshop. I could go on and describe the event in greater detail; the powerful silence of a room full of people seated in a circle formed by their mats; the soothing and deeply inspiring words of Danielle; the incredible energy generated toward the end as the group began vibrating and shaking and moving and dancing, inspired by Danielleas lead... suffice to say that the only experience I have ever had that compares, was attending a funeral for a dear friend's mother at the Black Ebenezer Baptist Church in Richmond, CA. Thank you Danielle for being there, for being you."

profoundly unexpected experience

Danielle is by far one of the most authentic, warm, and humble facilitators I have ever encountered in a transformational space. Her presence exudes reverence and honor in a way that is deeply tangible. I could feel her confidence and strength, yet it came from a place of true humility and connection.. never from superiority or spiritual hierarchy, which is often present in these types of spaces.
What stood out to me most was her ability to hold space as a fellow traveler on this journey while also fully owning her expertise. She embodies both relatability and deep wisdom, creating a container that feels strong, reassuring, and deeply safe. If I were to experience overwhelming emotions or a cathartic release, I know I would feel completely safe in her presence.. something I rarely experience with facilitators in the healing and transformational space.
Danielle walks in integrity and holds a genuine, compassionate love for people. The prayers she shared, her honoring of ancestors, humanity, the earth, and the greater life that surrounds us, all carried such depth and sincerity. Her guidance in connecting with the inner child, alongside her somatic approach, was beyond what I could have dreamed for in a transformational experience.
This was, without a doubt, the most profound somatic movement experience I’ve ever received. I truly wish these sessions happened more often because this work is the soul medicine I have been needing. I would be incredibly grateful to experience this on a weekly basis.

I know I would feel completely safe in her presence

“It was such a beautiful experience that Danielle led… It allowed me to be present with my body and release some deep wounding in a sweet, gentle way. I would highly recommend somatic work with Danielle. She’s amazing at what she does, and holds the space with such love and compassion.”
